The lovely Hannah and Dafydd got married at Bryngarw House in July 2021.
Hannah’s items were in the bridal suite while she got ready in the bridal lounge, which was perfect as I could photograph them without distracting them and had a clean and clear area for the photos.
Meanwhile down in the groom’s room, Dafydd had arrived with his friends and family, for a bit of a relax before dressing for the big day. Its a huge benefit for me to have a place for the groom to dress on the same site as the bride as I can pop to him to capture his details and dressing as well – this is all dependant on timings of course, I can’t leave the bride during key moments.
Once the hair and makeup artists had finished Hannah dressed in the bridal suite, again gorgeous and clear for photos with perfect light.
Hannah was walked down the aisle by her dad and as difficult it was for him he was incredibly proud, I know it meant the world to Hannah.
After the ceremony I gathered everyone outside for confetti.
I then left them to mingle with their loved ones and photographed candid shots. When I felt I’d captured enough I sneaked to the reception room to photograph the details while I had the opportunity.
We then decided to start photographing the groups.
I love photographing the speeches as this is where you will get honest expressions and emotions. Stories from childhood, first job, holidays – they all bring a smile and a laugh to peoples faces.
After food and speeches was the best time to go off for some portraits, specifically at this location later portraits are beneficial as the country park’s car park is closed which means less people in the backgrounds, on the bridge etc. Plus the best light is later in the day, the light was gorgeous and rich.
And they danced the night away!
