Fran and Josh were originally set to marry in Margam Orangery, but due to it being used as a vaccination centre a new venue had to be found, so they picked Lakeside Venue.
Fran got ready at home with her mum and bridesmaids.
One of my favourite photos from the morning is a window lit portrait of the bride, but on this occasion I wasn’t able to open the blinds because of the neighbours stood outside would be able to see Fran before anyone else.
After photographing the big reveal to family and friends I made my way to Lakeside.
Fran and Josh chose to have an outside wedding, nature as a backdrop is always a winner and despite the breeze having fun with the aisle flowers it was the perfect option.
After a little bit of rain during the signing, it cleared away for confetti, and there was lots of it, along with smiles, giggles and fun.
The reception room was decorated with pedestals adorned with fresh flowers and foliage, personalised lights and a gorgeous cake. I absolutely adored Frans choice of using succulents in the bouquet and on the cake, it was very popular to do this but I hadn’t had the opportunity to photograph one during a wedding until then.
After giving them time to mingle we started doing the group photos, an example of one family photo can be seen above.
I love photographing candids as part of the day, the reason for this is that you see all the true expressions, people absolutely enjoying themselves and their interactions with others. Sometimes it fills in the gaps and allows the bride and groom to see the things they weren’t even aware of, a wedding library can be delivered with lots of little surprises.
Portraits were taken along the lake as it was the best place for this. They were lovely and relaxed but we were battling with the breeze quite a bit, not that you’d notice.
Afterwards we returned and they cut the cake, danced and had fun. I’ve been very selective with how many images I upload to my website, thats why I only post a select few but this was a full day wedding.
