In August 2021 I photographed Laura and Lukes wedding. Laura decided to get ready at home in Pencoed as she’s a hairstylist and has the setup perfect for bridal preparation.
I left bridal prep with lots of time to travel to the venue, plus a little buffer in case of traffic issues.
When I arrived on the Gower the weather was very changeable, so after a few photos we were hiding in the entrance.
Laura took it all in her stride and didn’t look nervous at all, or maybe she hid it well – either way she was absolutely glowing walking down the aisle to Luke.
The first part of the ceremony was very traditional and had a gorgeous ring exchange (notice pinky finger is down so I can see the rings).
And then the couple opted to have a sand ceremony to involve their little girl in the union, this was a lovely addition performed by Janine Hailey of Unique Life Ceremonies Wales.
Lots of confetti!
A large and many smaller family and friend groups.
While the guests were being called through to the reception room I took the happy couple to a few spots for a couple of portraits.
The speeches were wonderfully heartfelt, its so lovely to hear stories about the bride and groom from their loved ones.
After food in the early evening I took the bride and groom out for some more portraits, it always gives everyone a chance to take a breath of fresh air after eating, and slows the day down.
As with other full day weddings there are parts I haven’t featured here such as candids, family groups, the first dance, sparklers – so why haven’t I added any? I’m trying to be good with how many images I put on my website, as you can imagine as a photographer I have a lot.
