In April 2022, I photographed Becky and Dan’s wedding. These two wonderful people were supposed to get married in 2020, but as you know the world was turned around with a virus, and in 2021 a normal Spring wedding was much smaller than they wanted, so 2022 you were it!
Becky got ready in the bridal lounge at Decourcey’s with her mum and girls. It was a pretty tight squeeze but we managed fine. As always I started by capturing all the details, the candids and all the excitement build.
When Becky was ready I set up a first look with her mum and then with her dad.
Once I was happy that I had captured all I could I made my way to Dan.
The decor in the ceremony was gorgeous and luxurious, and everyone was sat there waiting for the time to come.
Once the music started playing, Becky’s bridesmaids started walking down the aisle one at a time. Followed by Becky who looked so beautiful and happy.
After the ceremony everyone made their way outside for confetti and a large group shot.
And then the groups.
While we photographed groups the magician kept everyone entertained.
The couple didn’t want speeches, so before food Dan said a few words to thank everyone before food.
After food we planned to do the portraits, the sun was lower, the shadows longer and the colours richer – the perfect time! also everyone was much more relaxed which is always a plus.
After quite a bit of mingling they cut the cake and had their first dance.
A while after sunset we ventured outside to take advantage of the beautiful fairylight covered gazebo and festoon lit alley.
