Last Friday I had the pleasure of photographing Jenny and Owen in Llanmadoc, Gower.
We met in the Cwm Ivy car park and made our way down to the woodland that lays behind Whiteford Sands, one of Gowers hidden gems. We started off with some walking shots but the guys were really comfortable so we moved onto some more posed shots. I utilised the light through the trees as much as possible, as it gave a nice ethereal glow. I forced some lens flare if the feeling was right and even used my crazy filters to create refractions and reflections.
We then moved out into the sand dunes, taking photos along the way. I photographed through long grass to create nice light and bokeh in the photos – but the full sun was still way too much for photos out in the open. I took this opportunity to set up a pretty silhouette shot of the couple.
We then made our way back into the tree line – dappled light hit the woodland floor causing gorgeous puddles of light, so how could I resist, I used a nearby tree and asked the guys to lean against the tree, looking into each others eyes.
The time came for the perfect family photo with the fur baby; Lola – and she was such a good girl, very inquisitive.
I really enjoyed photographing this lovely couple, and we were treated to some of the most amazing weather and light. I’m really looking forward to the wedding!
So scroll down to take a look at the photos, I hope you like!
