Zoe and Jamie’s Gower Wedding

Just a week after their pre-wedding session the big day arrived. Zoe and Jamie got married at the Oxwich Bay Hotel and had a gorgeous day filled with beautiful dresses, decorations, hugs, kisses and heartfelt memories, lots of the boys even went swimming during the break in the afternoon. But on this occasion I’m going to tell you about their portraits.

After the ceremony we sneaked away to a spot above Three Cliffs bay with the most wonderful view for their couple portraits. It was such a perfect place to go to, considering we’d spent our time the previous week on the opposite clifftops. And with my love for landscapes I was in love with the spot!

We were chauffeured through the country roads in the most incredible car, it was the most luxurious way to get there.

After checking in with the site management we made our way over to the viewpoint. An uninterrupted scene of the famous three cliffs, the sweeping bay and dunes – perfect! We may not have had the beautiful weather that was there the week before but that didn’t stop us.

I placed Zoe and Jamie in a loose pose and we went from there, they were naturals! chatting and laughing along the way. I find in moments like this true personalities and couple connections start to come out.

On the way back to the venue we stopped so that I could use a fence I’d spotted, unfortunately it wasn’t sturdy enough to sit on – so I didn’t want to risk that, we used it in the background instead.

I love taking the bride and groom off for portraits as it gives them the opportunity to spend time together, to breathe and to just take it all in, sometimes I tell them to close their eyes and just be – everyone will tell you that you’re wedding day goes so quickly, I find it helps – like pressing pause and being in that moment.

At this minute in time their album is being created and I can’t wait to see it – one of the shots from above Three Cliffs has a double page spread and looks absolutely beautiful! the album company I use has the most gorgeous print quality and paper, and they’re sustainably sourced – no doubt I’ll do a blog post about albums at some point.

Anyway, here’s a few shots from the day, hope you like them and don’t forget if you’re getting married and like my style get in touch, if a friend or family member is, share it on – I would be incredibly grateful.
